Spend a week with Geoff Tate in some of the upcoming travel tours scheduled.
The Pacific Northwest seems to have a little bit everything. You can experience open pacific ocean vistas, the puget sound teaming with marine life, majestic mountain ranges and rolling farm land. Shopping and dining are top tier. The wine region in Woodinville, right outside of Seattle, is the second largest in the country and the music scene is world famous. Geoff Tate was raised on the puget sound since he was 5 years old and has called the Seattle area his home ever since. He was part of the music scene that brought the world Queensryche, Heart, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Sound Garden and many more. Now for the 2nd year in a row, Geoff would like to share his home and give people his own view of what makes the area so special.
On this week long sightseeing tour you will share experiences unique to this area with Geoff and his fellow musicians. You will attend 2 rehearsal days with Geoff and his band as they get ready for the Empire and Rage for Order tour. You will ride ferry boats to historic sea port towns and experience the culture of the people native to the area. You will spend every day of these 8 days with Geoff experiencing where he calls home.
Arrive into the Seattle/Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac) and wait for the other travelers while enjoying a private winery tour in one of Washington’s premier winery’s. Once we are all gathered, we will take our first ferry boat out with Geoff and the gang making our 1st stop in historic Port Gamble. Explore the 120-acre National Historic Landmark complete with picturesque, turn-of-the-century buildings filled with shops, a historic church, breathtaking views, expansive grounds and New England style houses on maple and elm tree-lined streets. We will drive a short distance and spend the evening in the victorian seaport town of Port Townsend listening to live music and having drinks with Geoff.
Wake up in the beautiful city of Port Townsend which is steeped in fascinating history, from it’s early Native American roots to its Victorian architecture and maritime legacy, boasting two National Historic Landmark Districts. Port Townsend is also the location where the movie, Officer and A Gentleman was filmed. Opportunities for outdoor adventure abound, from beaches to Olympic National Park. Enjoy the art shops, quaint bars and coffee shops. You also will have another night in an old historic hotel. Go to Geoff’s favorite pub in America for dinner and drinks to finish off a wonderful, memorable day.
Wake up and start your big day with breakfast and head out to road trip with Geoff. We’ll drive onto the tiny ferry to Coupeville to stop for coffee and a look around the area. Next we will drive through the scenic deception pass, Washington’s most-visited state park, get a photo op with rugged cliffs, jaw-dropping sunsets, and a stomach-dropping high bridge making this park a go-to for locals and international travelers alike. We will drive onto Anacortes from there and make a stop for lunch. After lunch, we will take the beautiful hour long ferry ride to one of the San Juan Islands.
San Juan Island Spend the day trying to catch a glimpse of the local whale pods, Shop in the local village and hike out to a memorable photo op. Check out fields of lavender and visit the iconic lighthouses and learn about the rich maritime history of the San Juans. Have a private dinner in a beautiful seafront location.
Take the ferry back to main land stopping in La Conner, voted the most perfect Washington state weekend getaway destination. Have lunch and a stroll around enjoying the shops and waterfront scenery. Travel back to Everett and check into your hotel.
It’s your choice, either shooting with Queensryche guitarist, Kelly Gray or Hike Rattlesnake ledge with Geoff. We will end the day with a party in the evening with Music and a bbq.
Goto the city of Seattle to spend a full action packed day. Visit Pike Place Market, the infamous gum wall as seen in a Queensryche music video, Queen Anne Hill where the old high school building can be seen of where Frasier from the tv show was supposed to reside. Enjoy the beautiful view of the city of Seattle and the space needle from Queen Anne. Visit the Space Needle which was built for the 1962 world’s fair and stands 605 feet tall and go up the glass elevator and out onto the observation deck. Attend the 30 Anniversary of Empire and Rage for Order show. You will get All Access VIP in the evening.
We will deliver you back to the Seattle/Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac) for your return flights home with your hearts full of memories and new friends!
